Not every escape
needs a destination.

Lake Whistler Hideaway began as a simple idea: what if a place to stay didn't try to be anything more than itself? No packed itineraries. No performance of hospitality. Just a well-kept home on the water, waiting for people who know how to sit still.

We're in Auburndale — a quiet corner of central Florida where the roads thin out and the trees close in. The lake is ours to share, and most days, you'll be the only one on the dock. That's not a marketing line. That's the Tuesday afternoon reality.

Whether you're passing through with nowhere urgent to be, or you've come specifically to do nothing at all — the Hideaway is built for that version of travel. The kind that leaves you lighter than when you arrived.

On the Water

Cast off in a provided watercraft. The lake is small enough to explore, large enough to disappear in — especially at dawn.
